Job summary

PayneCrest Electric, a Primoris Company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale electrical construction project. The role emphasizes safety, quality, profitability, and client relations at the project level.

You will establish project plans, manage schedules, and own the financial outcomes while mentoring the team and coordinating with Engineering, Pre-Fabrication, Purchasing, and Safety to ensure successful project results.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years leading large-scale electrical construction projects.
• Experience with CAD/BIM, Bluebeam Revu, MS Access, scheduling and estimating software.
• Willingness to travel or relocate as needed to support local and national projects
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute project plans, schedules, and execution strategies.
• Own the project P&L and forecast financial outcomes.
• Establish and uphold a strong safety culture on the project.
• Mentor and develop project team members and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Pre-Fabrication, Purchasing, Accounting and Safety to achieve project goals.
• Maintain client relationships and identify new business opportunities within the project scope.

We are seeking a motivated and confident Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale project and team. This individual must be focused on developing strong skills in the core competencies of safety, quality, profitability, personal development, labor management, and client relations at the project level.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure projects are executed successfully. Establish a plan for success. Develop a project schedule and execution plan.

Be responsible for the profit and loss of the project. Own the total financial outcome of the project. Consistently track progress to ensure accurate forecasting throughout the project.

Establish a strong safety culture on the project. Be responsible for the oversight and execution of safety practices on the project. Hold team members accountable for following safe practices.

Develop team members: actively mentor and coach project team to further develop their skills. Lead by example and invest in the success of others. Communicate expectations and follow through.

Partner with internal groups: collaborate with internal groups such as Engineering, Pre-Fabrication, Warehouse / Purchasing, Accounting, and Safety to ensure successful project outcomes.

Maintain client relationships. Develop business opportunities through relationships with clients, designers, and others. Identify new business opportunities that fit within the PCE business model and profit expectations. Leverage the network of relationships to identify new project opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

BS in Engineering or similar, or signification relevant field experience.

8+ years of leading large scale electrical construction projects; strongly prefer data center experience

Experience with Microsoft Access, Bluebeam Revu, Scheduling and Estimating software, CAD/BIM software.

Willingness to travel and/or relocate as needed to support local and national projects

Excellent written and oral communication skills

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

Reports to Director or VP of Operations
