Job summary

Tom Trese Networking LLC, based in Milford, CT, seeks an experienced Project Manager for its expanding commercial solar division. You will oversee large-scale commercial and municipal solar projects from contract execution through completion, coordinating schedules, budgets, utilities, and client communications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in commercial construction or utility-scale solar, deep NEC knowledge, and proficiency with project management software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction or utility-scale solar.
• Strong NEC knowledge and electrical construction practices.
• Experience with municipal contracts and public bid work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial and municipal solar projects across Connecticut.
• Lead kickoff meetings and establish execution plans.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and utility coordination timelines.
• Manage procurement of major equipment including modules, inverters, switchgear, transformers, and balance of system materials.
• Coordinate with utilities for interconnection, witness testing, and approvals.
• Track project budgets and monitor costs to ensure margin targets are maintained.
• Review and manage subcontracts and vendor agreements.
• Coordinate with engineering and field teams to ensure design intent is executed correctly.
• Oversee permitting and inspection processes.
• Manage project billing milestones and support O&M transition at project completion.
• Maintain organized project documentation and reporting.
• Identify and mitigate risks early in the project lifecycle.
