Job summary

National Coatings is seeking a Project Manager with strong leadership to oversee commercial and retail painting projects. You will ensure profitability, manage subcontract and client pay applications, and keep projects on track through proactive problem solving.

Ideal candidates bring 6+ years in project management, excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills, plus experience with construction management tools.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in project management.
• Prior commercial and/or retail painting experience.
• Exceptional communication, organization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively as a team player.
• Proficiency with construction management software (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel, Eclipse, and/or Procore experience is a plus)

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the financial health of assigned projects, ensuring profitability while meeting contractual obligations.
• Oversee project progress, proactively identifying potential roadblocks, delays, or issues; implement immediate corrective actions accordingly.
• Proficiently manage subcontract and client monthly pay applications, subcontract amendments, and necessary written notifications governing the work.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently while cultivating and maintaining client relationships; ensure timely responses to urgent situations.
• Track and manage labor, equipment, and material costs associated with ongoing projects.
• Lead and supervise the Superintendents, holding accountable for overall performance.
• Coordinate with Superintendents to determine proper manpower and schedules for upcoming projects.
• Prepare accurate monthly billings based upon current job completion status.
• Complete monthly WIP (Work in Progress) reporting.
• Lead, manage, exhibit, and hold accountable to the core values of Dedicated, Integrity, Pursuit of Excellence, and Team Player.
