Job summary

The Beck Group in Dallas is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead and manage our commercial drywall and interior self-perform operations. You will oversee the full lifecycle of large-scale projects, guiding risk, cost control, and craftsmanship while mentoring project staff.

You''ll coordinate with clients, architects, and owners, drive constructability input, and lead teams to deliver results with integrity and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial drywall, in construction, and/or preconstruction.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple commercial interior or drywall projects with values of +30 million or more.
  • Deep knowledge of drywall installation, metal stud framing, acoustical ceilings, and related interior finish materials, methods, and detailing.
  • Experience using 3D models for Preconstruction.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, on-screen quantity take-off apps, model-based quantity take-offs, Procore, and estimating platforms (Bluebeam, Revu, etc).
  • DESTINI Estimator as primary estimating tool with Revit, BIM360, Assemble as supplements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relations skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

  • End-to-End Project Leadership: Manage all phases of assigned projects, from preconstruction through closeout, on time, within budget, at high quality.
  • Self-Perform Operations Management: Oversee the self-perform labor force on drywall, framing, and acoustical scopes, including scheduling and safety.
  • Financial Acumen & Risk Management: Develop and manage project budgets exceeding $10M; identify and mitigate risks; manage P&L and forecasting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Be the primary contact for clients, architects, and owners; maintain clear communication from start to finish.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor Project Managers and field staff; foster continuous improvement and growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate on constructability, labor planning, and scheduling with preconstruction and operations teams.

What You Bring To The Table

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage our commercial drywall and interior self-perform operations. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete project lifecycle of large-scale, complex projects, leveraging your deep trade knowledge to manage risk, control costs, and ensure superior craftsmanship. You will be a key leader, mentoring staff and strengthening our reputation for excellence in interior solutions.

The Job Involves The Following Essential Functions
  • End-to-End Project Leadership: Manage all phases of assigned projects, from preconstruction and estimating through final closeout, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Self-Perform Operations Management: Directly oversee and manage the company's self-perform labor force on projects, including scheduling, productivity, material management, and safety for drywall, framing, and acoustical scopes.
  • Financial Acumen & Risk Management: Develop and manage project budgets exceeding $10M. Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, manage the P&L, and ensure accurate cost forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Client & Stakeholder Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and building owners. Build and maintain strong relationships, ensuring clear communication and alignment from project initiation to completion.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and field staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams on project pursuits, providing critical input on constructability, labor planning, and scheduling.

You Also Meet The Following Requirements
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in commercial Drywall, in construction, and/or preconstruction.

  • Demonstrable proficiency with technology such as MS Office, on-screen quantity take-off applications, model-based quantity take-off technologies, bidding software such as Procore, and next-generation estimating platforms (Bluebeam, Revu, others).
  • The candidate will be expected to use DESTINI Estimator as the primary estimating application and supplement it with tools such as Revit, BIM360, and Assemble.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and client relations skills.
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
