Job summary

Blue Ridge Executive Search in Cherryville, NC seeks a Senior Project Manager with ground-up commercial construction expertise, especially in educational projects. You will manage client and partner relationships and drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion.

Responsibilities include reviewing plans, estimating scopes, and guiding teams with a focus on quality and safety. This role partners with a Field Superintendent on a range of commercial and education projects, leveraging technology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction, engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Ten+ years in construction with five years in a management or supervisory position.
• Proven success in construction markets noted above.
• Ability to manage complex customer relationships.
• Ability to anticipate and address issues impacting risk, financials or timing.
• Ability to translate project goals into operational practices and communicate this to the team.
• Demonstrated ability to read & interpret construction drawings, plans & specifications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, subcontractors, clients and design professionals.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Timberline and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain sound relationships with clients and strategic partners such as architects and subcontractors.
• Balance project deadlines and costs with customer expectations of schedule, quality and budget.
• Develop a clear understanding of project scope by reviewing plans, documents and estimates.
• Create a sound project completion plan with priorities, scheduling and milestones.
• Partner with a Field Superintendent to form a well-coordinated building effort.
• Leverage technology to maximize processes, cash flow, client billing and project financials.
• Work on commercial construction, educational, big box and tilt wall projects.
