Baldwin & Shell Construction Company in Northwest Arkansas seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and mentor a team of project managers and engineers. You will oversee large commercial construction and design-build projects, ensuring milestones, budget, and quality targets are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent education/experience.
• At least ten years’ experience in commercial construction project management.
• At least three years as a senior-level Project Manager on projects of at least $50M.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and advanced knowledge of PM software.
• Ability to read construction drawings & blueprints accurately.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Strong financial skills to develop, track, and analyze budgets.
• Willingness to learn and expand knowledge; pass background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Safety-sensitive position per Arkansas policy.

Responsibilities

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is searching for an experienced Senior Project Manager who will thrive in our Northwest Arkansas Team. The Northwest Arkansas Team at Baldwin & Shell handles general commercial construction, construction management, and design-build delivery projects of all sizes throughout northwest Arkansas.

The Senior Project Manager plays a key management role in the supervision of all Project Managers assigned. In addition to managing large projects, the Senior Project Manager supervises Project Managers, reviews their projects, and assists them when necessary. You will report directly to the Division President.

Responsibilities

• Train, mentor, and lead a team of office engineers, project engineers, and project managers.
• Supervise Project Managers in all phases of their responsibilities.
• Oversee the establishment of project milestone dates, including events prior to the bid date.
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time and within the scope and budget.
• Establish & maintain relationships with third parties, vendors, and our trade partners.
• Review daily job reports, manage change orders and RFI process, prepare and submit pay apps, etc.
• Communicate regularly with owners, architects, and our trade partners.
• Go above and beyond to help assist your team in any way needed.
• Resolve issues and disputes in a timely and diplomatic manner.
• Monitor project cost.
  • Review weekly labor cost analysis.
  • Prepare quarterly cost projections.
  • Ensure that all items of cost are posted to the correct code.
  • Resolve discrepancies between committed and actual costs.
  • Project costs through end of year.
  • Monitor monthly equipment charges to project in accordance with contract.
• Review subcontracts and purchase orders for any revisions or amendments by the subcontractor or vendor.
• Provide regular updates to Division Vice President and President.
• Participate in interviews and presentations as required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have at least ten (10) years’ experience in commercial construction project management.
• Have at least three (3) years of experience as a senior-level Project Manager in commercial construction projects of at least $50M in size.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and have advanced knowledge of Project Management software.
• Be able to read construction drawings & blueprints accurately.
• Have strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Have highly developed organizational and time management abilities.
• Have strong financial skills to develop, track, and analyze project budgets.
• Be willing to learn and expand your knowledge continuously.
• Be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
• Pursuant to the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Act 593, this position is a designated safety-sensitive position according to Baldwin & Shell standards and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Procore, Vista, Docuware, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project preferred but not required.
