Job summary

Konik is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead retail, multi-family housing and commercial projects in the Southwest Metro area. You will manage preconstruction through closeout, coordinating with clients, design teams, trade partners, and internal staff to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and high quality standards.

The role requires 5+ years in commercial construction PM, strong scheduling/cost control, and proficiency with Procore or Sage and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management.
• Strong scheduling and cost management skills.
• Experience with Procore or Sage and MS Office.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR; able to pass background checks and DOT card if required.

Responsibilities

• Communicate project status, schedules, and updates with clients and field teams.

• Monitor budgets and assist in cost tracking aligned with scopes.

Senior Project Manager – Retail, Multi-family Housing

Southwest Metro| Direct Hire | $110k - $130k + bonus opportunity

Konik is partnering with a well-respected construction company voted in the Top 200 Workplace in Minnesota, seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead commercial projects. This role focuses on leading retail, multi-family housing and commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout, collaborating with clients, design teams, trade partners, and internal staff. You will help ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to quality standards, while facilitating smooth operations and client communication.

Senior Project Manager Responsibilities:

• Communicate project status, schedules, and updates with clients, field staff, and trade partners.
• Maintain project schedules and coordinate tasks for efficient workflow.
• Monitor budgets and assist in cost tracking, ensuring project scopes align with financial targets.
• Collaborate with estimators to validate project estimates and review scopes of work.
• Assist in preparing change orders and ensure approvals are in place before execution.
• Secure necessary permits and schedule inspections.
• Lead and coordinate job supervisors and field staff to achieve project objectives.
• Participate in project meetings and support collections of receivables when needed.
• Apply practical construction knowledge to solve site issues and keep projects moving forward.

Senior Project Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience.
• Solid understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost management.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Experience with project management software (Procore, Sage) and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record and ability to pass an MVR screening.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• Valid DOT Medical Card or ability to obtain one if required.
