Position Summary:
Plan, direct, supervise, and control the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of an assigned program, project, or sub-task.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manage client relationships and collaborate with Business Development to identify and cultivate new clients.
- Assist with contract negotiations, including defining project scope, budget, and engineering fees. Responsible for meeting contractual obligations.
- Mobilize company resources through effective liaison with support departments and other offices to create project teams capable of delivering quality work. Supervise daily activities of support, technical, and production staff.
- Direct the preparation of work plans, supervise project teams, and manage project scope, budget, and schedule.
- Promote technical excellence on projects, ensuring Quality Control and Assurance objectives are met. Analyze contractual and financial performance and implement activities to improve performance.
- Monitor and report project progress to management, including milestones and conditions affecting cost or schedule.
- Conduct performance evaluations for direct reports, mentor staff, and provide training opportunities for development and advancement.
- Provide production support as necessary.
- Ensure safety and health planning for each project, as outlined in the Safety Procedures manual.
- Adhere to all company, client, safety, and regulatory requirements related to this position and duties.
Minimum Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
- At least 8 years of experience, preferably in municipal water, wastewater, stormwater, and paving projects.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- Business development experience is desired.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation skills.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Engineering or related discipline from an accredited institution.
- Over 10 years of relevant engineering experience.
