Shirley Contracting Company, LLC in the Greater Richmond area is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead diverse construction projects, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to budgets while coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.

You will oversee contracts, manage resources, and uphold the company’s safety culture, building strong relationships with clients and trades for successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction management experience.
• Strong understanding of construction procedures and project management principles.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in computer and corresponding programs – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• A team player with leadership abilities.
• High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment physical/drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, supervise and coordinate all aspects of a wide range of construction projects to ensure that deadlines and budgets are met.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to schedule and budget details.
• Supervise a team of Engineers, Interns, and other members of the team and provide guidance as needed.
• Ensure the company’s health and safety culture, policies and requirements are met.
• Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with customer and co-workers.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and currently authorized to work in the US on a full‑time basis in order to be considered.
For this role the base salary range is $100,000-160,000. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
