Job description

As a Senior Project Manager – Civil, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering impactful environmental remediation projects in Ontario. You’ll manage complex projects, lead a dynamic team, and ensure projects exceed client expectations, while maintaining safety and financial targets. You will drive client relationships and oversee project execution from start to finish.

What You will Do:

  1. Manage the execution of projects on time and within budget
  2. Oversee project teams, both on-site and off-site, ensuring smooth operations
  3. Monitor project performance, including budget, schedule, and quality
  4. Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring long-term success
  5. Lead business development efforts, including responding to proposals and winning new projects
  6. Assist in evaluating bids and contracts, identifying opportunities for improvement
  7. Ensure all projects meet or exceed QM’s Health and Safety Policies and local regulations
  8. Drive a safety-first mindset across all teams and job sites
  9. Ensure all necessary documentation, including permits and safety records, are maintained

What you bring to the table:

  1. 5+ years of project management experience, with a focus on environmental remediation
  2. Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  3. Experience in preparing construction estimates and evaluating site assessments
  4. Strong understanding of environmental legislation, contaminated site remediation, and risk assessment
  5. Leadership abilities to manage multi-disciplinary teams across diverse projects
  6. Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Excel) and financial tracking tools
  7. University degree in earth sciences, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
  8. Certification as a Professional Engineer or Engineering Technologist (asset)
