We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Chillers to oversee complex cooling equipment projects from initial order through final installation, commissioning, and customer handover.

In this role, you will lead projects involving centrifugal chillers and modular cooling plants, working closely with customers, engineering teams, manufacturing, contractors, and other key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This is an excellent opportunity for a project management professional with a strong background in industrial HVAC, large-scale cooling systems, or mission-critical infrastructure. You will play a key role in coordinating technical requirements, resolving project challenges, managing customer expectations, and driving successful project outcomes across North America.

You will also collaborate with teams in the United States and Japan to support project execution and broader business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Customer Relationships
  • Manage the full project lifecycle, from order confirmation and engineering through manufacturing, shipment, installation, startup, and final handover.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, consulting engineers, general contractors, EPC firms, MEP contractors, and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, execution plans, risk assessments, and project documentation.
  • Lead project meetings, communicate progress, resolve issues, and coordinate decisions among stakeholders.
  • Manage scope changes, contractual requirements, customer expectations, and project risks while maintaining quality and profitability.
  • Coordinate the transition of completed projects to service and aftermarket teams.
Engineering, Manufacturing & Delivery Coordination

  • Coordinate activities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, quality, logistics, installation, and commissioning teams.
  • Monitor production milestones, factory testing, shipping schedules, and delivery commitments.
  • Organize site delivery logistics, including transportation access, unloading plans, storage arrangements, crane access, and staging requirements.
  • Verify installation readiness by coordinating foundation requirements, site conditions, and electrical, mechanical, water, refrigerant, drainage, and controls connections.
  • Ensure documentation, installation requirements, and outstanding work items are addressed before commissioning and final turnover.
Risk, Safety & Regulatory Compliance
  • Identify potential project delays, technical challenges, cost concerns, and compliance risks, then coordinate corrective actions.
  • Work with customers, engineers, contractors, and local authorities to support permits, inspections, approvals, and applicable code requirements.
  • Coordinate site safety expectations, including OSHA requirements, job hazard assessments, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe work permits.
  • Support applicable electrical and equipment certification requirements, including UL, ETL, CSA, and NRTL approvals or field evaluations.
  • Coordinate environmental and refrigerant compliance considerations, water treatment requirements, noise restrictions, and oil containment measures as applicable.
  • Work with project stakeholders to address insurance requirements, fire protection provisions, and other site-specific compliance needs.
  • Coordinate Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning activities, and startup readiness.
  • Maintain accurate project records, including schedules, drawings, approvals, inspection results, test reports, change documentation, and final closeout packages.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
  • At least 9 years of relevant professional experience, including a minimum of 4 years working with centrifugal chillers and modular cooling plants.
