Job summary

BCR Environmental seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multimillion-dollar engineered systems from award to commissioning for municipal and industrial clients. You will partner with Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Field Service to deliver on time, within budget, and contractually compliant while mentoring junior managers and shaping best practices across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical discipline required; advanced degree preferred.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of project management experience managing complex engineered capital equipment projects.
• Experience managing projects with significant budgets, multiple stakeholders, and technically complex deliverables.
• Strong understanding of scheduling, risk management, change management, and financial controls.
• Experience managing customer relationships and leading difficult conversations on schedule, scope, cost, and execution.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
• Willingness to support startup and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of large, complex capital equipment projects from kickoff through final acceptance.
• Serve as primary customer interface and build relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain detailed execution plans, schedules, and resource plans.
• Establish governance, communication plans, and reporting structures across teams and partners.
• Lead meetings, provide status updates, identify risks, and drive accountability for deliverables.
• Own scope, schedule, budget, and profitability; manage commercial risks and opportunities.
• Manage change orders, contractual obligations, and scope modifications to protect margins.
• Collaborate with Finance on forecasting, revenue recognition, cash flow, invoicing, and profitability.
• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Field Service, and suppliers.
• Oversee submittals, drawings, manuals, and regulatory documentation; ensure quality deliverables.
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress, address field issues, and resolve challenges.
• Support startup and commissioning activities, including extended hours or on-call availability.
• Identify opportunities to improve project management standards, templates, and metrics.
• Mentor Project Managers and team members on execution practices.
• Contribute execution strategies and risk assessments during proposals.
