Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Senior Project Manager to coordinate and deliver multiple HVAC-focused projects in the Raleigh area. The role includes schedule development, subcontractor coordination, cost control, and client relationship management to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of project management experience in HVAC controls, strong English communication, and familiarity with MEP drawings and networking protocols (Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet).

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; teamwork in customer-focused environments.
• Experience with HVAC controls industry; ability to read MEP drawings and related wiring diagrams.
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• 3+ years of project management experience in medium to large projects.
• Knowledge of Ethernet, Modbus, BACnet protocols; driving license and eligibility for US work.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

The Senior Project Manager position requires the coordination and delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects considered medium to large in complexity with financial impact between $250K and $8M. The Senior Project Manager has fiscal responsibility for all project facets, including project billing, job cost reporting, and overall customer satisfaction.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will:

• Facilitate the execution of project/program solution plan for clearly defined sub-projects or sub-programs.
• Be responsible for delivery of results for the respective process steps.
• Guide technical or administrative staff.
• Act as a functional process resource on projects or programs.
• Contribute to continuous improvement plan.
• Perform active role in maintaining functionally focused client relationships.
• Be responsible for several projects of varying size.
• Obtain PM@Siemens certification for C Projects ($2.5M).
• Review project specifications, drawings and project-specific documents to establish project intent.
• Develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinates needs with the project team. Identify time-sensitive installation needs.
• Manage the requisition of supplies and materials to complete projects.
• Review plans and specifications and participate in project cost reviews.
• Assist Operations Manager in the solicitation and contracting of subcontractors.
• Conduct an orientation for project technicians and provide project documentation, including scope of work, drawings, applicable specifications, application-engineered drawings, project contacts, etc.
• Track resources and project progress.
• Document project events that impact the schedule, scope of work, and project efficiency.
• Pursue project-specific change-order opportunities.
• Coordinate and pursue project-specific billing; coordinate with Accounting team and Operations Manager.
• Schedule project-specific commissioning resources and provide commissioning documentation.
• Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups for as-built development.
• Complete project-specific close-out documentation.
• Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors to meet scope, scheduling, and financial requirements.
• Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.
• Mentoring Associate Project Managers and Project Managers

You will make an impact with these qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree
• Must be able to demonstrate ability to work in a team environment providing dedicated support to our customers
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project
• Verbal and written communication skills in English
• Technical experience in the HVAC controls industry
• 3+ years of experience managing projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of HVAC industry applications; ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams
• Knowledge of industry-standard communication protocols such as Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet
• Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations; must meet eligibility requirements to participate in Siemens' fleet vehicle program
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree
• 5 + years of technical experience in the HVAC controls

The pay range for this position is $83,966 - $143,942 annually with a target incentive of 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
