Job summary

BWXT is seeking a Project Manager to support advanced reactor development programs in Lynchburg, VA. You will lead cross-functional teams, drive proposals, manage contracts and budgets, and ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements.

Requires a engineering/physics degree, 10+ years in industry, 5+ years PM experience, and Primavera P6 proficiency. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics.
• Ten years professional experience minimum.
• Five years project management experience.
• Experience using Oracle Primavera (P6).
• Clear and concise communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze and condense technical and commercial project information.
• Proven ability to develop creative technical and commercial approaches.
• Adaptability in changing project environments.
• U.S. citizen.
• Ability to obtain DOE/DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary liaison for project, proposal and contract activities with customers.
• Lead development, coordination and submission of proposals meeting technical, cost and schedule requirements.
• Manage execution of contracts, work authorizations, subcontracts and project documents.
• Develop and monitor project risk registers and action item tracking logs.
• Collaborate with functional groups to establish project controls, schedules and baselines.
• Track budgets, expenditures and earned value against plans.
• Build forecasts including bookings, revenue and gross margin targets.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to keep milestones on schedule and within budget.
