Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Project Manager in the Carolinas B+P footprint to lead complex manufacturing programs. You will translate production needs into layouts and material flows, driving Lean-enhanced capital projects through design and design-build teams.

You will manage scope, schedule, budget, and risk while interfacing with clients and internal teams. Hybrid work model offered with a strong emphasis on safety and disciplined execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field with 10 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years managing design or design-build delivery of manufacturing facilities or equivalent.
• US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing facility projects of $100M+ including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and client satisfaction.
• Interface with clients and AECOM design/design-build teams.
• Translate production intent into layouts and material flows; apply Lean where value is added.
• Lead pursuits, negotiations for design-build delivery; manage subcontractor contracts.
• Manage project financials: NSR, margin, forecasting, invoicing, change orders.
• Coordinate architecture, MEP, process utilities, and civil integration.
• Guide industrial engineering scope (layout, material flow, throughput, automation) with Lean/Six Sigma.
• Lead and mentor project teams; coordinate with design centers.
• Lead commissioning, startup, turnover; tool installation and ramp.
• Champion safety: embed EHS and constructability; uphold Safety for Life on site.
