Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager to lead strategic, cross-functional Sales Force initiatives for Sales and Service. You will supervise teams, manage complex projects, and wield MS Project for scheduling while driving on-time delivery.

The role requires eight years in information systems, five of which in mid-sized project leadership, plus strong communication, organizational, and budgeting skills to align technology with business goals.

Qualifications

• College degree with coursework in information systems, business, engineering, or equivalent.
• Formal training in project management strongly preferred.
• Eight years progressively responsible experience in information systems, including five years of experience managing mid-sized projects.
• Experience with product design and/or system software practices is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of strategic, complex, cross-functional Sales Force projects for Sales and Service.
• Demonstrated exceptional project management skills.
• Supervise people in the most complex projects.
• Schedule and organize projects using Project Management software such as MS Project.
• Exercise independent judgment and escalate issues as needed.
• Work independently across multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines.

• Apply knowledge of system development life cycles and software practices.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical users to negotiate and resolve issues.
• Provide timely support to users and first-line staff on complex problems.
• Analyze system requirements and contribute as a technical consultant.

Manages all aspects of strategic, complex, cross-functional Sales Force projects for Sales and Service.

Job Description:

• Demonstrated exceptional project management skills.
• Ability to manage projects and supervise people in the most complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of scheduling and organizing projects and use of Project Management software applications, such as MS Project.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and conflict resolution techniques, recognizing which issues should be escalated to higher levels for resolution.
• Ability to work effectively and independently in an atmosphere of multiple projects, shifting priorities, and deadline pressures.
• Current knowledge of information technology resources applicable to Bloomberg Industry Group's business environment, including hardware, software, utilities, techniques, etc.
• Strong knowledge of electronic product and/or systems development and implementation methodologies.
• Demonstrated knowledge of all stages of the systems and/or product design and software development life cycles.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills as necessary to communicate, negotiate, advice, or resolve issues that are highly complex including the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users effectively.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of budgeting analysis and cost control practices.
• Demonstrated ability to provide timely and effective support to users and first line support staff on highly complex problems involving multiple systems.

Education:

College degree with coursework in information systems, business, engineering, or equivalent experience is required. Formal training in project management strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of eight years progressively responsible experience in information systems, including five years of experience managing mid-sized projects required. Experience with product design and/or system software practices in use at Bloomberg Industry Group is strongly desirable.

Compensation Range:

$123,000.00-$150,000.00

Placement in the salary range will be decided upon completion of the interview process. Salary determination will be determined based on factors including but not limited to relevant experience, demonstrated skills related to the requirements of the role, education, certifications, and geographic location.
