A leading company is seeking an SSP Senior Project Manager to oversee software implementation projects remotely. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in project management, including skills in financial management and software development methodologies. This role involves leading teams, managing client interactions, and ensuring adherence to project management processes.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have external (customer-funded) software implementation project management experience.
An SSP Senior Project Manager is someone who can lead and motivate teams on both large-scale, high-profile projects and/or multiple smaller projects. He or she must be a self-starter and quick learner, comfortable interacting with a client and focused enough to follow-through on the day-to-day details of each assigned project – including managing costs, hours, scope, quality, and schedule; reporting financials to senior SSP management during monthly PMO meetings; providing weekly status reports to internal and external stakeholders; and leading internal and client-facing meetings. He or she may be asked to wear many hats, such as providing input into process improvement, leading workshops, and writing articles for the company blog. Most importantly, the SSP Project Manager must be passionate about traditional project management activities. He or she must be willing to follow the rigorous set of project management processes that SSP already has in place and be enthusiastic about contributing new ideas on how those processes can be improved. The SSP Project Manager will be part of a highly motivated, self-supporting project management team that plays an integral part in delivery of projects and are key enablers of SSPs strategic goals.
