Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for the successful execution of project, program, and portfolio deliverables across the organization. You will manage projects or integrated programs by defining scope, planning activities, and ensuring all tasks are executed to meet established objectives. Core responsibilities include building and maintaining the project team infrastructure, securing and managing resources, developing cost estimates and resource loaded schedules, and overseeing subcontracted relationships. You will evaluate change requests, approve or reject them as appropriate, track overall costs versus budget, and identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery. This position requires extensive coordination and integration with stakeholders, support personnel, and line management to align efforts and achieve project and program goals. You will also lead knowledge management initiatives by disseminating lessons learned and best practices throughout the organization. As a Project Manager within the Knolls Laboratory Site Director Management Office (DMO), you will play a key role in planning and developing program work; monitoring and controlling results; testing and validating deliverables; and transitioning outputs into operational use. You will contribute to continuous improvement activities and take on additional work scopes as assigned to support the DMO team.

Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

Pay Range

$86,100.00 - $134,600.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston. FMP employees also have an established presence at numerous shipyards and vendor locations. For nearly 70 years, the Naval Nuclear Laboratory has developed advanced nuclear propulsion technology, provided technical support, and trained world‑class nuclear operators to ensure the safe and reliable operation of our nation's submarine and aircraft carrier Fleets. The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is a national asset solely dedicated to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
