Job summary

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining the project execution plan, milestones and delivery priorities.
• Coordinating engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities within your scope.
• Defining responsibilities and managing interfaces between internal teams, delivery partners, contractors and equipment suppliers.
• Working with project controls to monitor schedule, cost, progress and forecast performance.
• Identifying delivery constraints, assessing their impact and driving practical resolution.
• Maintaining project risk and issue visibility, with timely escalation of decisions requiring senior approval.
• Managing scope changes and their technical, schedule and commercial implications.
• Monitoring contractor and supplier deliverables against agreed commitments.
• Leading project meetings and providing clear reporting on progress, risks, actions and decisions.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Project Managers to take responsibility for the execution of major industrial capital projects that sit in a wider regional programme across North America, bringing the leadership, technical judgement and delivery discipline required to manage complex scope across multiple work-streams and delivery partners.

These positions require substantial experience directing multidisciplinary project activity across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning. You will establish clear execution priorities, manage the interfaces between project teams, contractors and suppliers, and maintain control of scope, schedule, cost, and safety as the project advances through critical milestones.

You must be able to translate project objectives into a practical execution strategy, challenge delivery assumptions and resolve the technical, commercial and organisational constraints that affect performance. Working closely with project leadership and site stakeholders, you will drive accountability across the delivery team, provide clear visibility of emerging risks and ensure decisions are taken in time to protect execution, commissioning and handover.

The role

You will manage the assigned project scope, ensuring that responsibilities, deliverables and priorities are understood across the delivery team.

Depending on the project phase and agreed remit, your responsibilities will include:

The experience we are looking for:

• You should have demonstrable experience managing industrial capital projects or substantial project scopes within a comparable delivery environment.
• Relevant backgrounds may include energy, chemicals, process manufacturing, industrial utilities, water treatment or environmental infrastructure.

We are particularly interested in professionals who can demonstrate:

• Personal accountability for project delivery, with clear examples of the scope and decisions they owned.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and site delivery teams.
• A sound understanding of project schedules, budgets, forecasts, risk and change control.
• Experience managing contractor, vendor and technical interfaces.
• The ability to recognise emerging delivery problems and act before they affect critical milestones.
• Clear communication with clients, project leadership and operating stakeholders.
• Practical experience supporting construction, commissioning or operational handover, where relevant to the assignment.
• Strong judgement and the ability to maintain accountability across multiple organisations.

Experience within an owner, EPC or EPCM organisation would be relevant. Please explain your actual delivery responsibilities and the project phases you have supported.
