PSR Talent Solutions is supporting an established engineering consultancy with the appointment of a Senior Project Manager to join its growing water and wastewater team in San Antonio.

This is a senior opportunity for an experienced water/wastewater professional with 15+ years of industry experience, looking to take on a broader role across project delivery, technical leadership, client relationships, and team development.

You will be involved across a varied portfolio of municipal water and wastewater work, working closely with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions while contributing to the continued development of the local team.

The role would suit someone who enjoys being involved with clients, understands the commercial side of project delivery, and wants the opportunity to have a greater influence within an established engineering business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of water and wastewater engineering projects from planning through to completion.
  • Provide technical direction and oversight across project teams.
  • Work closely with clients to understand requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate engineers, technical specialists, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for project programmes, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
  • Review technical documentation and ensure work meets required quality standards.
  • Attend client meetings and provide clear updates on project progress and technical matters.
  • Contribute to proposals, scopes, fee estimates, and other business development activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and industry contacts.
  • Support the identification of new project opportunities within the local market.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers.
  • Contribute to the continued development of the water and wastewater team.
  • Represent the business at relevant industry events and professional organisations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Current Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
  • 15+ years of experience within the water and wastewater sector, with a strong background in project delivery and leadership.
  • Proven experience managing water and wastewater engineering projects.
  • Strong experience with municipal wastewater projects, including collection, treatment, or associated infrastructure.
  • Experience working with municipal clients in San Antonio or the wider South Texas market.
  • Understanding of project financial management, budgets, and commercial considerations.
  • Experience contributing to business development, proposals, and client development.
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience supporting and mentoring other engineers.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
