Job summary

Cumming Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead a tenant-improvement project for a three-story building in Sacramento. The ideal candidate has a strong background in public projects and experience managing federally, state, or municipally funded work, with oversight of all construction phases and coordination with multiple stakeholders.

Qualified candidates hold a BS in related fields, 8+ years of PM experience, and preferred CCM/PMP/PE/AIA/LEED certifications.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.
BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.
Preferred certifications: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.

Responsibilities

Lead a project team for large projects or multiple projects.
Define technical scope and coordinate with contractors, vendors, and agencies.
Review cost estimates and manage project budgets.
Ensure timely communications and monthly/weekly/daily reports.
Maintain client objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.
Foster repeat business through effective project delivery and references.
Manage conflict resolution and maintain project governance.
Support attendance during normal business hours.
Perform other duties as assigned.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a tenant improvement project for a three‑story building in Sacramento. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public projects, with prior experience managing federally, state, or municipally funded work preferred. This role requires oversight of all phases of construction, coordination with contractors, vendors, and public agencies, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Lead a project team, either a large project or multiple projects or a whole program.
Define technical scope of project.
Promote opportunities for repeat business and create highly favorable references through the effective coordination, administration, and communication of project tasks.
Review cost estimates.
Manage project level conflict resolution.
Maintain monthly project budgets for current and forecasted expenditures.
Facilitate and maintain communications with the client in addition to providing monthly/weekly/daily reports.
Achieve the client’s objectives by successfully managing the client’s project, goals, and objectives.
Other duties as assigned.
Attendance at work during normal business hours.

Knowledge & Skills Required

Manage and monitor team members' activity in alignment with organizational goals.

Preferred Education And Experience

Education: BS in Construction Management, Engineering, QS, Architecture, or related field.

Experience: 8+ years of experience in Project Management, engineering, or construction management.

Preferred Certification: CCM, PMP, PE, AIA, LEED.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time role is $127,300.00-$178,233.36 per year. Ranges are determined based on the position, geography, client and industry experience and level, and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range reflects base salary only, and not the total compensation package. Cumming Group reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on a candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications, including client requirements.
