Relate Search partnered with a marine technology company to identify a Senior Project Manager who will drive software and tech initiatives from concept to delivery. You will work across software, engineering, design, testing, and product teams to translate priorities into executable plans.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years in project management, strong technical fluency, and proven ability to align globally distributed teams while delivering high-quality results.

Relate Search has partnered with an innovative marine technology company developing connected solutions that give boat owners greater visibility, security, and peace of mind to identify a Senior Project Manager who will help bring innovative software and technology solutions from concept through successful delivery. This is an opportunity to play a central role in the development of technology that is transforming the connected boating experience. You’ll work across software development, engineering, design, testing, and other technical teams to turn product and engineering priorities into well-executed projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical fluency, disciplined project leadership, and the ability to keep globally distributed teams aligned and moving forward.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end software and technology projects, translating product and engineering priorities into clear scope, milestones, resources, budgets, and delivery plans.
• Partner with cross-functional and globally distributed teams, including software developers, designers, engineers, and offshore development partners, to align expectations, resolve roadblocks, and drive execution.
• Own project communication and stakeholder alignment, providing clear visibility into progress, risks, dependencies, milestones, and decisions across technical and business stakeholders.
• Guide technical delivery and quality, partnering with engineering and test teams to ensure solutions are feasible, thoroughly tested, aligned with applicable standards, and ready for successful deployment.
• Lead and develop the test engineering function, while continuously improving project workflows, delivery practices, team collaboration, and overall project execution.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience, including 3+ years leading software development or technology projects from planning through delivery.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, Agile/Scrum, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC), with the technical fluency to effectively partner with engineering teams.
• Proven ability to manage scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and competing priorities while consistently driving projects toward successful outcomes.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field; PMP certification is a plus.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead effectively across technical teams, business partners, and geographically distributed resources.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working with marine technology, connected devices, IoT, monitoring systems, navigation systems, sensors, or other marine-specific technologies.
• Hands-on experience with software systems used in marine applications or other connected-device environments.
• Experience with project management tools such as Jira or Microsoft Project and cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure.
• Experience managing distributed teams and offshore development partners.
• Experience leading or managing software testing and quality assurance functions.
