Job summary

BLUESTONE COMMUNICATIONS in New York is seeking a Senior Project Manager responsible for directing projects, controlling budget and schedule, and delivering quality results on time. You will manage client relationships, supervise teams and subcontractors, and ensure alignment with plans and contractual requirements.

The role requires experience with low-voltage, AV, access control, CCTV and related systems, plus strong Excel and AutoCAD familiarity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Electrical Engineering, Construction Management preferred.
  • 10–12 years experience preferred.
  • Proficient in reviewing AutoCAD drawings, as-built documentation, and coordination drawings.

Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects including client relationships, scope, cost, and schedule and job efficiency from start to finish.
  • Be the focal point of all client communications.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with clients to sustain existing and create future revenue streams.
  • Know the plans, specifications, and contractual requirements for all assigned projects.
  • Make sure safety is the team’s priority and promote quality in workmanship.
  • Assist in contract review for all assigned projects.
  • Identify, clarify, and document changes from initial project objectives and scope of work to support the change management process.
  • Prepare, review, and submit payment requisitions, equipment submittals, change requests, and closeout documentation.

Job description

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall project direction, completion, and financial outcome for assigned projects. With guidance from the Branch Manager, this role will manage projects on a day-to-day basis, assessing all risks and project change requests to produce the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost for successful project completion.

Job Duties
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects including client relationships, scope, cost, and schedule and job efficiency from start to finish.
  • Be the focal point of all client communications.
  • Establish, build, and maintain relationships with clients to sustain existing and create future revenue streams.
  • Know the plans, specifications, and contractual requirements for all assigned projects.
  • Make sure safety is the team’s priority and promote quality in workmanship.
  • Assist in contract review for all assigned projects.
  • Identify, clarify, and document changes from initial project objectives and scope of work to support the change management process.
  • Prepare, review, and submit in a timely fashion all payment requisitions, equipment submittals, change requests, and closeout documentation as per project requirements.
  • Partners with Purchasing Manager to negotiate purchase orders with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Attend all job-related meetings.
  • Update project status in the company’s ERP system on a regular basis and ensure that project financials reported to accounting are accurate.
  • Responsible for keeping all deadlines, deliverables, budgeting, and open lines of communication throughout the organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree: Electrical Engineering, Construction Management preferred.
  • 10-12 years experience preferred.
  • Proficient in reviewing AutoCAD drawings, as-built documentation, and coordination drawings for commercial and institutional projects.
  • Experience estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning for complex low-voltage and building systems installations.
  • Strong ability to manage subcontractors, vendors, and internal field teams across multiple projects and job sites.
  • Extensive knowledge of low-voltage systems, including audio-visual, electronic security, access control, CCTV, life safety, HVAC integration, structured cabling, and telecommunications.
  • Demonstrated experience managing the full project lifecycle from estimating and budgeting through scheduling, vendor coordination, installation, commissioning, and project closeout.
  • Familiarity with commercial, infrastructure, financial, healthcare, and institutional construction projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for estimating, project reporting, and schedule management.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, network configurations, control systems programming support, system commissioning, and troubleshooting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to develop and maintain project schedules, resource plans, and performance tracking tools to support successful project execution.
Work Environment

This job is fully in person, on site.

Salary
  • $150,000 to $160,000k DOE
