Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. seeks a Senior Project Manager to oversee complex construction projects from planning through closeout. You will work with the superintendent to align scope, schedule and budget, and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 10-15 years of Project Management experience on site work including projects $50M+.
  • Experience using P6, MRS Project, Vista; MS Office and Procore.
  • Must have PM experience running multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Has managed multiple site projects.

Responsibilities

  • Authority on contract between owner and company to ensure effective project administration.
  • Responsible for all aspects of contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development.
  • Manage profit margins and all financial aspects of assigned construction projects.
  • Draft and execute subcontracts and purchase orders in a timely manner.
  • Review and approve monthly subcontractor pay requisitions.
  • Oversee schedule development and updates with project staff.
  • Prepare monthly project financial projections and reports for executives.
  • Develop plans and schedules with the superintendent to meet project goals.
  • Identify new business opportunities and foster owner relationships.

Job description

Branch is searching for an experienced, detail-oriented and organized Senior Project Manager to join our well-established, growing company. This position works closely with the project superintendent to ensure overall direction, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects. Oversees or participates in the allocation of resources to ensure a safe, timely, and quality project while meeting all project goals. The Senior Project Manager is the primary contact with Owner’s representative(s), Subcontractors, Suppliers and other company departments / personnel and pursues exemplary business relationships with same.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Authority on contract between the owner, GC, etc. and the Company to ensure effective project administration
  • Responsible for all aspects of the project’s contract management, planning, scheduling, budget, quality, safety, and employee development
  • Responsible for profit margins and fully managingall financial aspects of assigned construction project(s)
  • Collaboratively aidin the timely drafting and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Reviewand approvemonthly subcontractor pay requisitions
  • Overseeschedule development and updatein conjunction with the project staff
  • Overseepreparation of monthly project financial projections and reports to the appropriate Company executive leadership members
  • Prepareand reviewpayment requisitions, communicatechanges, and reportprojectfinancial status monthly
  • Developan effective plan and schedule in conjunction with the Superintendent for constructing the project and helpdetermine the means and methods necessary to meet project goals
  • Developnew business opportunities relative to a client or group of clients and fosters positive owner relationships
  • Adhereto the terms of the contract, assures quality, minimizes costs, and promotes safety

Within the working region. This position requires frequent field visits, 50% field and 50% office or as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility

Directly supervises three to eight employees and consultants involved in each project. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
