Job description

A fast-growing, well-backed biologics CDMO is building out its site PMO in New York and is looking for a Senior Project Manager to play a central role in shaping how the function operates.

The site is a world-class, fully operational cGMP biologics manufacturing facility with global regulatory approval. Backed by serious long-term investment, the organization is scaling rapidly and this role sits at the heart of that growth.

The Role

As Senior Project Manager, you'll be the primary point of contact for clients across the full project lifecycle - owning relationships, managing scope, negotiating change orders, and driving performance reporting. Internally, you'll be the person keeping Manufacturing, MS&T, Quality, Supply Chain, and Business Development aligned and accountable across complex biologics programs.

This is a broad, senior remit with direct exposure to site leadership and global stakeholders.

Day to day you'll be:
  • Leading client-facing projects from initiation through closeout, ensuring delivery on time, within scope and within budget
  • Serving as the primary client liaison - managing expectations, scope changes, change orders, and performance reporting throughout the project lifecycle
  • Driving cross-functional alignment across Manufacturing, MS&T, Quality, Supply Chain, and BD on complex cGMP technical transfers
  • Maintaining PMO governance tools including dashboards, KPI reporting, risk logs, and project metrics
  • Presenting project health and risk to senior leadership and governance committees
  • Partnering with BD on financial tracking, invoicing, and out-of-scope change order development
  • Supporting client visits, audits, and Person-in-Plant activities at the Syracuse site
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of PMO tools, templates, and processes
What We're Looking For
  • 5-10 years of project management experience in a biopharma or CDMO environment
  • 3-5 years of direct CDMO experience, including leadership of complex cGMP or technical transfer projects
  • Strong client-facing experience - you own relationships, not just internal coordination
  • Biologics, cell therapy, or gene therapy modality experience strongly preferred
  • PMP certification preferred
  • Financial acumen - comfortable with POs, invoicing, cost estimation, and change order management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Power BI
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present complex technical information clearly to clients and senior leadership
  • Comfortable operating in a matrixed, fast-paced environment with competing priorities
