A family-founded Long Island construction management and development firm (nearly five decades building across the Tri-State area, and one of the names that helped put construction management on the map here) is hiring a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale, high-impact projects from the ground up.
This is a senior leadership seat inside a business that has grown into a full-service platform: construction management, general contracting, and real estate development, concept through completion. You’ll run complex, high-value builds for a company that still runs on relationships, straight talk, and consistent delivery.
Why this role
- Real variety: industrial, multifamily, healthcare, education, commercial, and hospitality, so no two projects look the same
- A deep, well-capitalized pipeline across Long Island and NYC, with hundreds of ground-up builds and billions in construction value behind it
- A firm that was early to green and LEED building, and keeps pushing where the industry is heading
- A relationship-driven, low-ego culture led by people who came up through the field, not just the boardroom
- Genuine long-term progression inside a stable, growing business
What you’ll do
- Lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, owning delivery across every phase
- Manage schedules, budgets, and resource planning
- Keep a strong on-site presence across Long Island and NYC projects
- Act as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, and key stakeholders
- Coordinate architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors
- Prepare scopes of work and manage subcontractor procurement
- Negotiate contracts and drive strong commercial outcomes
- Lead and mentor project teams, building collaboration and accountability
- Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance across every site
- Track project performance and deliver clear, detailed reporting
- Oversee requisitions, cost tracking, and financial management
What you bring
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in construction
- A track record delivering in the Long Island and/or NYC markets
- Background across ground-up and complex commercial or multifamily projects (preferred)
- Deep understanding of construction methodologies and project delivery
- Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
- Highly organized, with sharp attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Autodesk Build a plus
- PMP certification (preferred)
- OSHA certification (required)
