Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager – Digital Assets

Location: New York, NY

Work Model: Hybrid

Employment Type: W2 Contract

Initial Duration: 3 months, with potential extensions based on ongoing project needs

Pay Range: $86–$92/hour W2

Calculated Hire is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager to support a large financial-services organization within an emerging digital-assets and capital-markets initiative.

This individual will work across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, legal, and other partners to help translate strategic priorities into executable requirements, project plans, operating processes, controls, and implementation workstreams.

The ideal candidate brings strong financial-services or capital-markets experience, hands-on BA/PM execution skills, and the ability to independently drive complex initiatives in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering and analysis across business and technology stakeholders.
• Translate business objectives into functional requirements, process flows, project plans, and implementation activities.
• Develop and maintain project roadmaps, milestones, dependencies, risks, and key decisions.
• Support current-state and future-state process analysis and operating-model development.
• Partner with product and technology teams throughout solution design and delivery.
• Coordinate UAT, business testing, defect resolution, implementation readiness, and post‑launch activities.
• Identify process, technology, operational, and control gaps and drive resolution across stakeholders.
• Manage multiple workstreams and cross‑functional dependencies in a fast‑paced environment.
• Prepare clear project documentation and updates for senior stakeholders.
• Independently drive assigned initiatives from initial discovery through execution.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Business Analyst, Project Manager, Product Owner, or related experience within financial services.
• Experience supporting complex capital‑markets, banking, investment‑management, or financial‑technology initiatives.
• Hands‑on experience with requirements gathering, functional documentation, process mapping, and project planning.
• Experience with UAT, testing, implementation, and production‑readiness activities.
• Strong stakeholder‑management skills across business and technology teams.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently within complex and evolving programs.
• Experience working in highly regulated environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with capital‑markets operations, securities, payments, custody, settlement, collateral, liquidity, or related financial infrastructure.
• Exposure to digital assets, tokenization, blockchain/DLT, or emerging financial technologies.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Visio, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar tools.
• Experience within a large bank, broker‑dealer, asset manager, custodian, or other regulated financial institution.
