Job summary

Audubon is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects from initiation through completion in our Houston office. The role centers on directing project execution, coordinating with clients, and ensuring compliance with company standards and budgets.

The Sr PM will drive planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, and change control while maintaining high safety and quality standards across multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree AND 10 years of Relative Experience, or Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of Relative Experience.
  • Education/Licensure Preferred: BS Engineering, MBA, Project Management Professional (PMP), Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Experience Required: Minimum of 7 years of industry related experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as the primary interface between the project team and the client representative. The Sr PM is the face of Audubon to the client.
  • Creates, executes and revises project execution plans as required to meet client requirements and project metrics.
  • Identifies resources needed and manages team responsibilities.
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of assigned projects.
  • Ensures that all deliverables have been reviewed, approved and signed off prior to issue to the client.
  • Ensures the project team follows the Audubon standards and procedures.
  • Responsible for reviewing project transactions and reporting any discrepancies on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for review and approval of invoices within a 48hr turnaround.
  • Maintains the resource planning on assigned projects.
  • Manages the project budget and schedule.
  • Remains completely accessible to clients during the life of project and provides single point of contact, ensuring specific requests are processed timely and appropriately.
  • Organizes and directs a Project Management Team of other Project Managers and/or Project Engineers.
  • Drives Management of Change philosophy and enforces corresponding procedures.
  • Serves as the champion for safety and quality on the project.
  • Reviews and provides final approval to all subcontractors’ contracts and invoices.
  • Manages the overall execution of projects.
  • Understands the relationship between multi-discipline deliverable packages - including procurement and construction activities.
  • Keeps track of lessons learned and shares those lessons with team members and peers.
  • Leads and/or acts as a member of internal teams/task forces.
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates, efficiency, and utilization.

Audubon is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team in our Houston, Texas Office. The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of complex and/or large projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The successful Senior Project Manager will provide direction and management support to project teams during the execution of engineering projects.

  • All employees are responsible for supporting Audubon Companies’ Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures. This includes:

  • Participating in required HSE training, meetings, and reporting activities
  • Identifying and reporting hazards, near misses, and unsafe conditions
  • Following safe work practices and complying with applicable regulatory requirements
EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree AND 10 years of Relative Experience, or Bachelor’s Degree and 7 years of Relative Experience.

  • Experience Preferred: 10 years of experience as the Lead Engineer on large multi-discipline projects, Project Engineer and/or Project Manager.
  • Working knowledge of scheduling techniques and software.
  • Knowledgeable in cost estimating and control.
  • Understanding of all applicable discipline deliverables.
