Job summary

CBRE in Minneapolis seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead high-end commercial real estate projects for market accounts. You will manage projects from initiation through closeout, coordinating design, construction, occupancy and risk management while aligning with client objectives.

This is a hybrid role with on-site work as required. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and 8+ years of relevant experience, strong proficiency in MS Office and MS Project, and a track record

About The Role

The Senior Project Manager provides consulting services for our Minneapolis market accounts to help achieve the company's strategic business objectives. The Senior Project Manager will lead high-end commercial real estate projects for various clients for the Minneapolis advisory business. This is a hybrid role, the selected candidate will be required to report to the clients' offices or project offices as dictated by client's needs and project requirements. This job is part of the Project Management function. They are responsible for the management of projects from initiation through completion.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage all areas of project management for multiple real estate projects. This includes planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Work directly with clients to prepare all elements of the project. This includes the scope of work, project delivery resource requirements, cost estimates & budget, work plan schedule & landmarks, quality control, and risk identification.
  • Define the project delivery resources from pre-qualified lists or through the project qualification process. Conduct complex requests for proposals, complete bid evaluations, and recommend resources to clients.
  • Facilitate the development of a charter and integrated timeline.
  • Ensure all functions remain on schedule and issues get resolved or raised.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review project status for active and pending projects.
  • Collaborate to develop solutions and guide the project team through implementation and completion.
  • Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives.
  • Showcase expertise in own job subject area and in-depth knowledge of other job fields within the organization function.
  • Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence) values. Anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels and of divergent interest, to adopt a different point of view.
  • Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi-discipline teams. Work is guided by functional policies which impact the design of procedures and policies.

What You’ll Need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8+ years of relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Prior experience working with commercial high-end interior projects, dry labs, data centers, mission critical, heavy MEP, and demanding clients is strongly desired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Experience with MS Project or similar project management software.
  • Proven track record of leading multiple projects in varying stages simultaneously and the ability to deliver under pressure in fast-paced environments is preferred.
  • Interpersonal skills with an advanced inquisitive mentality.

The minimum salary for this position is $125,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $155,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend’s applicable benefit program.
