Job description

Site Project Manager

ADU, Remodel & Custom Residential Construction (Los Angeles)

Who Are You?

You're a seasoned project manager living in the Los Angeles Area with the field experience and discipline to own a residential construction project from pre‑construction through final completion. You've run jobs, managed budgets, coordinated subs, and you know what it takes to keep a site safe, clean, and on schedule. You're ready for more than another PM seat; you're looking for a role where you can take real ownership and make a measurable impact.

You believe great projects aren't built on heroics— they’re built on process, communication, and accountability that doesn’t need a manager looking over your shoulder. You operate with a sense of urgency, but you don’t cut corners. You measure what matters, document what you do, and bring issues forward early because you know that’s how problems get solved before they become expensive.

You’re the kind of PM who empowers the people around you: subs, field crews, office teams, and customers alike. You listen first, then recommend. You’re candid when something isn’t working, and you own your impact when something goes sideways. You advocate for the customer because you understand that every decision in the field eventually shows up in their home. And you’re excited by the chance to help shape how we build in a new market, inside a company with the systems, mentorship, and growth path to back you up.

Who Are We?

We’re a rapidly growing team in the residential construction space, expanding our operations into the Los Angeles market after 35+ years building in Silicon Valley. We design, navigate, and build premium, high‑quality accessory dwelling units (ADUs), also known as backyard homes or granny flats, and we’re focused on making a positive impact on California’s housing crisis.

Every Acton ADU is designed and built to a high standard, offering homeowners a long‑term investment that serves their family and community for generations. These ADUs create accessible housing options across California while positively impacting lives, supporting aging parents, adult children, multigenerational living, and long‑term family wealth.

As we grow into Los Angeles, we’re looking for experienced builders who want to help shape how we operate in a new market, with the backing of established processes, proven systems, and three decades of residential architecture, permitting, and construction expertise.

Our culture is grounded in these core principles:
  • Make a positive impact. We’re driven by a higher purpose; every project changes a family’s life and shapes a community.
  • Empower each other. We’re a team. We listen, we share information freely, and we set each other up to succeed.
  • Encourage innovation. We embrace change to work smarter, not harder.
  • Measure what’s important. We track, document, and improve. Data drives decisions.
  • Make measurable progress. We move with urgency, set deadlines, and follow through.
  • Be candid. We give honest, respectful feedback and own our impact.
  • Be a customer advocate. We represent the customer’s voice in every decision.
  • Help people thrive. We support each other’s growth and success.
Position Summary

The Project Manager / Site Supervisor is responsible for both project execution and on‑site construction management for residential projects in the Los Angeles market.
