Job summary

Divcon Controls is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex BAS construction projects across multiple sites in the US. You will guide strategy, coordinate engineering teams, and manage stakeholders to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery to the highest technical standards.

The role requires 7+ years in construction management with expertise in BAS/HVAC systems, strong leadership, and robust financial oversight. Proficiency with Procore and MS Project is expected.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in construction project or program management, preferably BAS or MEP.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams on high-value, multi-phase projects.
• Deep knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, and electrical systems.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful execution of complex building automation projects across multiple sites, driving strategy, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder engagement from planning to final delivery.

This role goes beyond project execution — it requires a seasoned leader with deep expertise in construction management, BAS/HVAC systems, and organizational leadership. You’ll partner closely with clients, engineering teams, and senior leadership to ensure on‑time, in‑budget delivery that meets the highest technical standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project execution across multiple BAS construction projects, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and client requirements.
• Direct and mentor project teams, including field staff, engineers, and subcontractors.
• Own project portfolio performance – scope, budget, schedule, and quality – and deliver monthly financial and milestone reporting to senior executives.
• Oversee all contract documentation, change order management, procurement, and vendor coordination.
• Collaborate closely with clients to build trust, manage expectations, and serve as primary point of escalation.
• Evaluate and approve engineering designs, technical submittals, and BoMs for compliance and efficiency.
• Mitigate risk through proactive planning, forecasting, and issue resolution.
• Standardize best practices across projects to drive efficiency and quality in delivery.
• Ensure compliance with Divcon’s internal systems (e.g., DivPro), safety standards, and project documentation protocols.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in construction project or program management, ideally in BAS or MEP environments.
• Proven track record of leading cross‑functional teams and managing high‑value, multi‑phase projects.
• Deep knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, and electrical/commissioning systems.
• Strong business acumen with experience in financial oversight, reporting, and resource planning.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – from technicians to C‑suite.
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and financial tools.
• OSHA 30 certification obtained within the past two (2) years is required.
• If certification is not current or has not been completed, OSHA 30 training will be provided and must be successfully completed within the first week of employment.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to travel frequently to job sites by car or plane, up to 85%
• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout job sites for extended periods
• Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and lifts as required
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and work in tight or confined spaces
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials up to 50 pounds
• Manual dexterity to handle tools, wiring, and small components
• Ability to work at heights and in varying indoor and outdoor conditions
• Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment when required (hard hat, vest, safety glasses, gloves, and safety‑toed boots)
• Visual keenness to read schematics, labels, and digital displays
• Ability to visually identify and differentiate wires by assigned color
• Ability to hear and respond to alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions
