We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation and rollout
of a new payment processing solution across our SaaS platform.
This is a highly cross-functional initiative spanning Product, Engineering, DevOps, QA,
Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and external payment partners. The Senior Project
Manager will own the end-to-end program plan, coordinate execution across teams in Los
Angeles and Bangalore, India, manage dependencies and risks, and drive the program
through implementation, testing, migration, and production rollout.
The ideal candidate is a strong technical project leader who is comfortable operating in a
fast-paced SaaS environment, can create structure across complex workstreams, and knows
how to drive teams toward clear commitments and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end implementation plan for the new payment processor, from planning and requirements through development, testing, migration, launch, and post-launch stabilization.
- Translate program objectives into clear workstreams, milestones, dependencies, owners, and delivery dates.
- Establish and maintain the integrated project plan and critical path across Product, Engineering, QA, Finance, and external partners.
- Drive accountability for commitments and proactively identify when milestones or deliverables are at risk.
- Ensure requirements, decisions, dependencies, and action items are clearly documented and understood across teams.
Cross-Functional & Global Coordination
- Coordinate execution across teams located in Los Angeles and Bangalore, creating an
- Establish clear handoffs between U.S. and India-based teams to maintain momentum and minimize delays.
- Facilitate working sessions, project reviews, risk reviews, and executive status updates.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure technical work remains aligned with business and customer requirements.
- Coordinate with the payment processor and other external vendors or partners as required.
- Maintain a clear view of program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
- Identify blockers early and drive them to resolution rather than simply reporting them.
- Escalate issues with clear context, impact, options, and recommended next steps.
- Track dependencies across APIs, platform services, payment workflows, data, security, finance, reporting, and customer-facing experiences.
- Ensure critical decisions are made at the appropriate level and documented.
Testing, Migration & Launch Readiness
- Coordinate integrated testing across Engineering, DevOps, QA, Product, Finance, Sales, Customer Success and business stakeholders.
- Drive readiness for functional testing, integration testing, regression testing, UAT, and production validation.
- Develop and manage a comprehensive cutover and go-live plan, including dependencies, owners, rollback/contingency plans, and success criteria.
- Coordinate customer or transaction migration planning where applicable.
- Establish launch-readiness criteria and ensure outstanding issues are appropriately triaged before go-live.
- Lead post-launch stabilization tracking and ensure issues are resolved quickly.
Stakeholder & Executive Communication
- Provide concise, transparent reporting on overall status, milestones, risks, dependencies, decisions, and upcoming priorities.
- Tailor communication appropriately for technical teams, business stakeholders, executives, and external partners.
- Surface risks early without creating unnecessary noise or escalation.
- Create clarity when teams have competing priorities or conflicting perspectives.
Required Experience & Skills
- 7+ years of project/program management experience, preferably within SaaS, fintech, payments, or other complex technology environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading large, cross-functional technology implementations from planning through production launch.
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle, including requirements, development, QA, UAT, release management, and production stabilization.
- Experience coordinating distributed or global engineering teams; experience working with U.S. and India-based teams strongly preferred.
- Strong project planning skills with the ability to manage complex dependencies and critical paths.
- Experience working closely with Product Managers, Engineering leaders, QA, Finance, Operations, and executive stakeholders.
- Strong risk and issue management capabilities.
- Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project/program

Preferred Experience
- Experience implementing or migrating payment processors, payment gateways, or
- Understanding of payment concepts such as authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, chargebacks, recurring payments, tokenization, and reconciliation.
- Familiarity with PCI DSS, payment security, data privacy, and compliance considerations.
- Experience with payment APIs, third-party integrations, webhooks, transaction flows, and SaaS platform architecture.
- Experience coordinating payment processor certification, testing, or production readiness.
- Experience with phased migrations or transitioning customers/transactions from one payment platform to another.

The Senior Project Manager will create a single, trusted view of the payment implementation, with clear ownership, milestones, dependencies, risks, and decisions.
Teams across Los Angeles and Bangalore will understand what they own, when it is due, what they depend on, and what could put the launch at risk.
Most importantly, the new payment processor will move into production through a well-managed, thoroughly tested, and controlled rollout with clear launch criteria, contingency planning, and post-launch support.
