Job Summary

The Senior Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex commercial roofing projects while providing leadership and guidance to project management and field teams. This role is responsible for managing high-value and multi-faceted projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring exceptional financial performance, operational efficiency, client satisfaction, and compliance with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multiple large-scale commercial roofing projects from preconstruction through final closeout
• Assume overall accountability for project performance, including schedule adherence, budget management, quality control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Project Superintendents
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, procurement, and logistics to ensure successful execution and profitability
• Review and interpret project contracts, specifications, drawings, and scope requirements to ensure compliance and mitigate risk
• Partner with estimating, sales, operations, and field teams to ensure a seamless transition from project award through completion
• Monitor project financials, including budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, change orders, billing, and profitability analysis
• Identify and proactively resolve project risks, conflicts, and operational challenges before they impact performance
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, manufacturers, and other key stakeholders
• Lead project meetings, client presentations, and executive-level communications regarding project status and performance
• Ensure all projects are executed in accordance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, standard operating procedures, and best practices across the project management department
• Assist leadership with strategic planning, staffing, workload management, and operational initiatives to support company growth

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within commercial roofing or commercial construction
• Proven track record successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously, including large-scale and complex projects
• Strong understanding of commercial roofing systems, construction methodologies, contracts, project scheduling, and risk management
• Extensive knowledge of construction documents, specifications, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and contract administration
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to mentor, develop, and influence teams
• Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and profitability management
• Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-standard project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, QuickBase, or similar platforms)

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred but not required
• Experience managing projects valued at $1M+ and overseeing multiple project teams
• OSHA 30 Certification or other relevant construction industry certifications
• Experience implementing operational improvements, project controls, or departmental processes
