Job summary

Infrastructure Consulting & Engineering seeks a Senior Civil Engineer Project Manager in Houston, TX, remote work allowed. You will manage roadway/bridge design work, oversee project schedules and budgets, and maintain client and contractor relationships, pursuing business development and fee negotiations.

The role requires 10–15 years’ transportation design and PS&E experience, Texas PE or eligibility within 6 months, MicroStation, OpenRoads, GIS, and strong communication within a team.

Qualifications

• 10-15 years of design and design management experience on transportation projects including PS&E.
• Texas license professional engineer or eligible for licensure within 6 months.
• Experience with MicroStation required; GIS preferred; OpenRoads-DU a plus.

Position Summary

Will manage,coordinate and execute the roadway/bridge design work assigned to the Houston, TX office. Responsible for project management, development and maintenance of schedules and budgets, establishing and maintaining owner and contractor relations. Will oversee business development, fee negotiations, contract review and strategic business planning for transportation projects.

Qualifications/Requirements

Capabilities should include knowledge of roadway, drainage and structures design, and familiarity with appropriate software used to perform preliminary and final design, and to prepare PS&E documents for urban & rural freeways, toll roads, FM & SH roads, County roads and city streets. Should be familiar with TxDOT Roadway Design Manual and Hydraulic Design Manual, City of Houston design criteria, Harris County design criteria, and Harris County Flood Control District design criteria.

Physical Demands

This position predominantly involves up to 8 hours per day at a computer workstation, with occasional standing and walking. The employee may occasionally lift lightweight office supplies and materials, typically not exceeding 20 pounds. The office environment is indoors, characterized by controlled temperatures and minimal exposure to adverse conditions.During fieldwork, the engineer may be exposed to different environments with loud noise, dust, dirt, changing temperatures, and must be able to move skillfully around construction sites.

Expected Hours of Work

The ICE offices are open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, allowing an unpaid hour for lunch daily. Work schedules may vary according to the project schedule; some night and weekend work may be required.
