Job summary

CITEL in Hillsborough, NC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our brand-new U.S. site and integrate with our international PM team across the United States, France, and China.

You will report to the Head of Project Management in France and manage local projects with autonomy, aligning with product, R&D, sales, purchasing, marketing and methods teams worldwide. The role requires a bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years in industrial project management, strong budgeting and scheduling skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred).
• 5+ years of proven experience in Industrial Project Management or in a similar role.
• Strong budgeting and timeline management experience.
• Proficiency in project management tools (Gantt charts, budget monitoring, risk analysis).
• Mastery of MS Project/Gantt tools and MS Office/Google Suite.
• Fluent English; French or Chinese proficiency is helpful but not required.
• Willingness to travel to China and France as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead project development from initiation to mass-production, ensuring QCT targets.
• Identify and mitigate risks across the project lifecycle; implement mitigation plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams locally and internationally for optimal resource allocation.
• Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and prevent overruns.
• Ensure adherence to processes locally and support teams as needed; provide regular reporting.
• Deploy and enforce Group project management processes locally.
• Identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement in development cycles.

CITEL is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join its brand-new location in Hillsborough, NC, where you will integrate directly into our international Project Management team across the United States, France, and China. Reporting to the Head of Project Management in France, you will serve as the local Project Manager with a high level of autonomy, elevating U.S. project execution to a best-in-class standard while ensuring strong alignment with product managers, R&D, Sales, Purchasing, Marketing, and Methods teams worldwide. Your mission is to elevate US project execution to a best-in-class level by leveraging international standards while actively contributing to the group's continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management of Product Development Projects

• Lead project development from initiation to mass-production, ensuring adherence to Quality, Cost, and Delivery (QCT) targets.
• Proactively analyze and measure potential risks throughout the project lifecycle; implement mitigation plans to secure the timeline and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (local and international) to ensure optimal resource allocation.
• Manage project budgets, forecast costs, and implement corrective actions to prevent overruns
• Ensure proper adherence to processes locally and support teams as needed.
• Provide structured and regular reporting.

Communication & Coordination

• Deploy and enforce Group project management processes locally.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline development cycles.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic preferred). Master's degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of proven experience in Industrial Project Management or in a similar role, with strong expertise in managing budgets and timelines.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Gantt charts, budget monitoring, risk analysis).
• Mastery of MS Project/Gantt tools and MS Office/Google Suite.
• Fluent English is required. French or Chinese proficiency is a significant asset to facilitate interactions with HQ but not required.
• Ability to travel to China and France on an add needed basis.
