Job summary

Ceres Technologies seeks a Project Manager to lead projects and maintain customer relationships, ensuring on-time delivery of high-quality results. You will track schedule, budget and deliverables, collaborate with process owners, and drive solution design and validation for build and test.

On-site role in Saugerties, NY with a strong emphasis on risk management, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement. Salary is $80k-$90k per year.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years working in project management.
• Minimum 5 years in product or equipment management.
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP (Encompix) with understanding of discrete manufacturing, bills of material, and supply chain operations.
• Project Management methodologies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - PowerPoint and Excel.
• New product development skills.
• Strong planning skills.
• Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
• Mastery of Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; coordinate internal resources and third parties for flawless execution.
• Develops project plan, monitor & track progress; define project scope and objectives with stakeholders.
• Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables; review quality of work and manage integration of team members' work.
• Proactively identify and manage changes to scope/schedule/budget; reassess and amend scope, budget and timeline.
• Support project managers and projects managed by others; assist in improvement initiatives.
• Analyze and manage risks; establish contingency plans and trigger events for action.
• Determine project closure criteria and obtain sign-off; ensure customer satisfaction and references.
• Prepare reports for upper management on project status.
• Create value-added project documentation and maintain templates.

Job description

Your role

The Project Manager manages projects and customer relationships at Ceres Technologies to ensure on-time delivery of high-quality projects for domestic and international customers. Project manager tracks and reports schedule/budget information and elevate instances where a project is in jeopardy of not obtaining company profit expectations. Project manager conducts pre-post analysis of the project and feedback lessons learned to appropriate departments. Project manager works in collaboration with the process owners to develop solutions, gain sign off on solution design and agree approach to enable build & test of those solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by project team members. Coordinate internal resources and third parties and vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Develops project plan, monitor & track progress. Assists and helps in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders in ensuring technical feasibility, also set deadlines, assign responsibilities.
• Coach to clarify assignments and deliverables to project team; review quality of work and manage integration of team members work; provide performance input to project team members' functional management.
• Proactively identify and manage changes to scope/schedule/budget and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external stakeholders to reassess and amend the scope of work requirements, budget, and timeline
• Supports project managers and projects managed by other colleagues and assists in various improvement initiatives.
• Analyze and manage risks, establish contingency plans and identify trigger events and responsibilities for initiating mitigating action.
• Determine what constitutes successful closure for all parties. Gain acceptance and sign-off by all parties when closure is attained. Proactively manage project stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer reference and success story.
• Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project.
• Create value-added project documentation and help with maintenance of project templates.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
