Job summary

Civic Elite is a leading construction contractor in Missouri seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple projects from inception to closeout. You will oversee scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project success.

You will mentor PMs and Project Engineers, drive continuous improvement, and foster strong client relationships across vertical construction and interior finishes projects, upholding safety and integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Lead Project Manager for a general contractor.
  • Strong background in vertical construction and interior finishes.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and project teams simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop PMs and Project Engineers.
  • Proficiency with Procore and construction project management systems.
  • Solid understanding of construction estimating, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Knowledge of Windows applications, including Microsoft Office and operating software.
  • Knowledge of construction industry products and associated trades.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution of multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Provide oversight of projects to you and your team to ensure compliance with Civic Elite policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Maintain responsibility for overall project performance, including scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and client satisfaction.
  • Assist the Safety Director by coordinating and maintaining on-site safety programs and enforcing OSHA and company safety compliance.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Oversee all phases of assigned projects, including coordination of field staff, materials, equipment, submittals, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules and financial plans, including cost reviews, re-estimates, and profitability analysis.
  • Review and approve submittals, schedules of values (SOVs), and major change orders prior to issuance.
  • Manage and price change documents, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with project goals.
  • Conduct weekly team huddles and maintain consistent communication with direct reports.
  • Attend project meetings including Hand-Off, Pre-Planning, PEP, 3M, and other key project reviews as required.
  • Perform regular jobsite walks on team projects to monitor progress, quality, safety, and team engagement.
  • Complete and manage Plans of Action (POAs) and performance evaluations, including monthly POA reviews and annual evaluations.
  • Approve PTO requests and ensure required documentation is completed for unforeseen absences.
  • Take necessary actions to ensure projects are profitable and operationally successful.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and project enhancements.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks throughout all phases of construction.
  • Maintain open communication with the Director of Project Management regarding risks, issues, and key developments.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Attend customer and industry events as needed to support company growth and visibility.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement across projects and processes.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, coaching, and training to Project Managers and team members through active involvement in their projects.
  • Supervise and support the team to ensure successful project delivery from concept development through planning and execution.
  • Establish accountability for team members regarding milestones, deliverables, and performance expectations.
  • Manage PM team operations, including goal setting, functional management reviews, and clear communication of objectives
  • Other duties as assigned.
