Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager with heavy road-highway construction and/or multi-use trail experience in Georgia. The candidate will work under a Georgia-registered PE and oversee planning, scheduling, site inspections, sub-contractor agreements, budgets, and bid preparation through to award.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree with 5+ years of road infrastructure project experience and proficiency in MS Project, Bluebeam,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management required.
• 5+ years of experience managing road infrastructure projects.
• Proficient in MS Project, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan all construction operations.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect progress and QC.
• Prepare subcontractor agreements.
• Monitor progress and enforce budget compliance.
• Prepare RFIs as needed.
• Prepare pay applications and invoices.
• Review invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Locate and research public bid opportunities.
• Interpret drawings and documents to prepare estimates.
• Complete bid take-offs for materials, equipment and labor.
• Perform unit price cost analyses.
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Maintain prices database for construction materials.
• Coordinate bid proposal packages.
• Prepare estimate summaries and final bid documents.
• Attend bid openings and verify scope of work.

Job description

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with Heavy Road-Highway Construction and/or multi-use trail experience. This person will work under the supervision of a Georgia registered Professional Engineer, PE.

Duties:

• Plan all construction operations
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring deadlines are met
• Conduct regular site visits to inspect work progress and quality control
• Prepare subcontractor agreement for sub-contractors
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines
• Prepare Request for Information as needed
• Prepare pay applications/invoices
• Review and approved invoices from subcontractors and suppliers
• Locate and research public bid offering for potential projects that are ideal for the company
• Interpret drawings and technical documents in order to prepare estimates
• Complete bid take offs by estimating material, equipment and labor quantity needed to complete the proposed project
• Unit price cost analysis
• Negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers
• Maintain and update construction related materials prices database
• Coordinate to prepare bid proposal packages
• Prepare estimate summary for bids and complete bid documents
• Attend bid openings and review post bid information to assure scopes of work is correct and accurate.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (MANDATORY)
• Over 5 years of experience managing road infrastructure projects
• Proficient in MS Project & Bluebeam/AutoCAD
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings
• Good interpersonal and written communication skills
• Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Must be detail-oriented, organized and can meet stringent deadlines
