Top Gun Staffing Inc. is seeking a Highway/DOT Program Manager for Metro Atlanta, GA. Lead multiple heavy highway and DOT projects, overseeing Project Managers and project teams across roadway, bridge, and related heavy civil work.

The role requires strong leadership, financial oversight, and the ability to identify and mitigate risks to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery for complex infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

• Extensive contractor-side heavy highway and DOT PM experience.
• Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and mentor PMs.
• Strong background in roadway/heavy highway and bridge/structures construction.
• Knowledge of project financials, forecasting, cost control, scheduling.
• DOT experience required; GA DOT experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple concurrent highway and DOT projects and the Project Managers responsible for them.
• Monitor financials, forecasts, schedules, production, change management, and overall project performance.
• Identify cost, schedule, staffing, subcontractor, and operational risks early and drive corrective action.
• Support Project Managers with planning, execution, client issues, and escalated project challenges.
• Coordinate with Superintendents and field leadership on staffing, resources, production, and execution.
• Oversee estimating handoffs, project startup, buyout, procurement, and execution planning.
• Provide leadership across roadway, bridge, retaining-wall, concrete, drainage, utility, and related heavy civil scopes.
• Develop Project Managers and drive consistent project controls and operating standards across the team.

What You’ll Do

• Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, cost control, scheduling, change management, and field operations.
• Ability to identify at-risk projects and resolve issues before they escalate.
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, production, subcontractors, and field execution.
• State DOT experience required; Georgia DOT experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
