Spicer Group, a multi-disciplinary engineering, surveying, and planning firm, seeks a Senior Project Manager for its Planning, Parks & Recreation team in Michigan. This role leads complex site development and construction projects from client development through closeout, directing budgets, schedules, and staff while strengthening client relationships and project delivery standards across the firm.

Responsibilities

• Serves as project manager, applying advanced knowledge of site design, planning, and construction principles to lead multiple projects.
• Plans, coordinates, and directs large, complex projects or multiple smaller projects with challenging features.
• Prepares, reviews, and updates project budgets, billing projections, marketing goals, and supports corporate budgeting efforts.
• Monitors project schedules and progress, taking corrective actions to ensure timely delivery.
• Maintains awareness of active and pending projects within the assigned group.
• Supervises support personnel, delegating tasks and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
• Takes an active role in client development, including proposal preparation and marketing initiatives.
• Participates in presentations to clients, demonstrating technical credentials and expertise.
• Attends project meetings, public hearings, and stakeholder engagements.
• Participates in professional development through reading industry publications and presenting at meetings.

• Prepares, reviews, and updates project budgets, billing projections, marketing goals, and supports corporate budgeting efforts
• Monitors project schedules and progress, taking corrective actions as needed to ensure timely and successful project delivery
• Maintains overall control and awareness of active and pending projects within the assigned group
• Supervises support personnel, delegating tasks and ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Takes an active role in client development, including proposal preparation and marketing initiatives
• Participates in presentations to clients, demonstrating the company’s technical credentials and professional expertise
• Attends project meetings, public hearings, and other stakeholder engagements
• Participates in continuous professional development through reading industry publications and presenting at professional meetings and seminars
