Job summary

RWE Design Build in Downers Grove, IL is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will manage multiple projects, maintain schedules and budgets, and serve as the primary liaison with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.

You will mentor Project Managers and teams, develop solutions, and drive project planning, risk assessment, and value engineering while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM, Eng, Arch, or related field preferred.
• 8+ years PM experience in commercial/healthcare construction.
• Procore, MS Project, and MS Office experience.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and contracts.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

What You'll Do

Lead large-scale and complex construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client expectations.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.

Drive project planning, scheduling, procurement, budgeting, and execution activities.

Lead preconstruction efforts including estimating reviews, constructability analysis, value engineering, and risk assessment.

Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, change orders, invoices, and overall financial performance.

Identify project risks early and implement practical solutions to keep projects on track.

Lead project meetings and provide clear, timely communication to stakeholders and company leadership.

Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred.

8+ years of project management experience in commercial construction, healthcare construction, design-build, or general contracting.

Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex, and high-value construction projects.

Strong understanding of construction processes, project scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and contract administration.

Experience with Procore, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.

Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
