The LaSalle Network is hiring a Project Manager to lead a well-established construction company delivering complex government projects in the United States. You will oversee safety, quality, schedule, and budget across multiple disciplines from inception through closeout.

This role requires deep experience with government projects (USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, Illinois agencies) and strong leadership of staff and subcontractors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience delivering government construction projects.
  • Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, and Illinois state agencies.
  • OSHA 30-hour and EM 385 40-hour certifications (within last 5 years).
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • NAVFAC ECATTS Certification.
  • CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Proficiency with construction industry software.
  • Strong communication skills and sound judgment.
  • Ability to travel to remote project locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage design and construction work across civil, electrical, carpentry, framing, plumbing, HVAC and roofing.
  • Ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes and permitting processes.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules with the team.
  • Manage projects from inception to closeout, including commissioning.
  • Direct project staff and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and compliant.
  • Coordinate with Estimating to develop subcontracts, scope and specs.
  • Track costs, change orders, RFIs and submittals.
  • Build strong client relationships throughout execution.

LaSalle Network is hiring a Project Manager to join a well-established construction company known for delivering complex projects for government agencies. This role offers the opportunity to lead project teams from inception through closeout, with oversight of safety, quality, schedule and budget across multiple technical disciplines.

This is an ideal opportunity for a construction professional with deep experience delivering government projects (USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, State of Illinois, City of Chicago) who is ready to take on a leadership role managing project staff, subcontractors and overall project outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Manage design and construction work across all technical disciplines, including civil, electrical, carpentry, framing, plumbing, HVAC and roofing
  • Ensure all design and construction comply with contractual requirements, building codes and permitting/inspection processes
  • Determine construction means and methods as appropriate
  • Review subcontractor, vendor and teaming partner bids for completeness prior to agreement execution
  • Participate in proposal teams for technical material preparation and bid evaluation
  • Develop, update and maintain project schedules in coordination with the project team
  • Manage assigned projects from inception to closeout, including commissioning
  • Direct project staff and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and in compliance
  • Work closely with Estimating to develop subcontracts, scope and specifications
  • Track project accounting, labor costs, material expenses, change orders, RFIs and submittals
  • Identify labor requirements, subcontractors, vendors and other external resources needed for delivery
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout project execution
  • Establish and maintain project controls compliant with all requirements
  • Oversee preparation of required documentation, including daily, quality and safety reports and tracking logs
  • Evaluate tracking log data against schedule requirements to identify need for acceleration or material expediting
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical direction to project staff
  • Coordinate and maintain minutes for weekly internal review meetings with Construction, Procurement and Engineering
  • Monitor and respond to potential schedule slippage, maintaining close contact with subcontractors and vendors on fabrication and delivery timelines
What's Needed?
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 5–10 years of experience delivering successful construction projects to government agencies (USACE, NAVFAC, USAF, GSA, State of Illinois – CDB, UIC, UIUC; City of Chicago – CHA, PBC, DGS, CDA)
  • U.S. Army Corps of Engineers "Construction Quality Management for Contractors" Certification (within last 5 years)
  • OSHA 30-hour certification and EM 385 40-hour certification (within last 5 years)
  • OSHA HAZWOPER certification
  • NAVFAC ECATTS Certification
  • CPR/First Aid certification
  • Proficiency with construction industry software
  • Strong communication skills and sound judgment
  • Ability to work under pressure and travel to remote project locations as needed
