McKissack & McKissack invites applications for a Senior Project Manager in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. You will lead multiple program and construction management projects from planning to closeout, mentoring staff and coordinating budgets, schedules, and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management.
• 8–10 years of project management in construction/program mgmt.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop project staff.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proficiency with Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for multiple concurrent program and construction management projects from planning through closeout.
• Develop, mentor, and manage the performance of project staff with regular coaching.
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing plans, and resource allocation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Serve as primary client contact, ensuring proactive communication and satisfaction.
• Assist leadership with operational needs including workload planning and process improvement.
• Review design and construction documents to ensure quality, budget alignment, and schedule compliance.
• Support proposal development, interview prep, and other BD activities as needed.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure teams comply with contract requirements, safety standards, and company policies.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring proactive communication, responsiveness, and overall client satisfaction.
• Assist leadership with operational needs of the department or office, including workload and staffing planning, process improvement, and internal reporting.
• Review design and construction documents to ensure quality standards, budget alignment, and schedule compliance.
• Support proposal development, interview preparation, and other business development activities as needed.
• Identify project and operational risks and develop and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure project teams comply with contract requirements, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
• Foster a collaborative, high‑performing team culture consistent with company values.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of project management experience in construction or program management.
• Proven experience directly managing, developing, and mentoring project staff.
• Demonstrated ability to support operational functions such as staffing, resource planning, and process improvement.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience with public sector or government clients preferred.

Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, travel requirements)
