Job summary

McKissack & McKissack is hiring a Project Architect for our Washington, DC team. The role leads architectural projects from concept to completion, develops design concepts for clients, and prepares construction documents with a focus on codes and standards.

Applicants should be licensed with 4+ years of experience, hold a architecture degree, and be proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp. Strong project management, communication, and mentoring skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect with 4+ years of professional experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and construction practices.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to mentor junior architects and interns.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage architectural projects from initial concept through completion.

  • Mentor and guide junior architects and interns.

Salary range: $110,000 - $130,000/yearly (dependent on years of experience, competency, location)
