• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes and contracts; ability to read plans and specs.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management; ability to present to owners and senior leadership.

Senior Project Manager - Construction

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex commercial and civil construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate will drive project delivery on schedule, on budget and to quality and safety standards, serving as the primary client and site contact and mentoring project teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management for multiple concurrent construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project schedules (program and detailed), monitor progress and implement corrective actions to meet milestones and deadlines.
• Prepare, review and manage project budgets, change orders, forecasts and cash flow to ensure financial performance.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, vendors and on-site crews; enforce quality control and ensure contract compliance.
• Serve as primary client and stakeholder liaison, providing regular status updates, managing expectations and resolving issues promptly.
• Implement and enforce site safety programs and regulatory compliance, working closely with safety officers to maintain incident-free operations.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks; maintain detailed documentation and lessons learned for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and develop junior project managers and field staff; foster a collaborative team environment and uphold company standards.
• Ensure timely procurement of long-lead items and materials, resolve supply chain issues and manage logistics to minimize impacts on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field (required).
• Minimum 8 years of progressive construction project management experience, with a proven record delivering commercial or civil projects (required).
• Demonstrated experience as a Project Manager with full project lifecycle responsibility, including budgeting, scheduling and subcontractor management.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes and standards, with the ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and contracts.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills; ability to present to owners and senior leadership.
• Proficiency with project management and scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6, Procore or similar).
• Experience implementing safety programs and ensuring regulatory compliance; OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, CCM or equivalent are a plus.
• Ability to travel to project sites regularly and work flexible hours to meet project demands.
