AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Project Manager for the Transportation Practice in Syracuse, NY. You will lead project teams, manage scope, schedule and budget, and deliver comprehensive PM plans for roads, bridges, and tolls.

Responsibilities include client liaison, contract negotiations, and representing the firm at public hearings. Expect to mentor junior PMs and contribute to proposals while advancing programs with our clients.

Qualifications

• PE license required; Bachelor's degree required.
• Graduate degree desirable.
• 15+ years of professional experience with 5-8 years in direct PM.

Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Transportation Practice in Syracuse, NY, reporting to the Sr Project Director, to support the delivery of projects with a particular focus on Roads, Bridges, and Tolls.

Your role

Project Planning & Execution:

• Leads the project team in executing all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Independently develops and manages project scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develops and implements comprehensive Project Management Plans.

Financial Management:

• Manages all financial aspects of the project.
• Approves subconsultant and vendor invoices.
• Proactively identifies and manages budget variances and communicates financial performance to senior management.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

• Serves as the primary point of contact for the client.
• Leads contract negotiations.
• Represents the firm and client at public hearings and regulatory meetings.

Team Leadership & Business Development:

• Leads and directs multi-disciplinary project teams.
• Mentors Project Managers and Associate PMs.
• Identifies new business opportunities and participates in proposals

About you

• Professional Engineer License is required; Bachelor's degree is required; Graduate degree is desirable.
• 15+ years professional experience, 5-8 years of direct project management experience.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $175,000 - $190,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
