Job summary

Project Manager Responsibilities

• Lead civil construction projects from pre‑construction through closeout
• Responsible for overall project planning, coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and execution to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
• Manage all phases of civil construction projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cost reports, and forecasts
• Coordinate with owners, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Review contracts, plans, and specifications to ensure compliance
• Procure materials and subcontractor services as required
• Track project progress and prepare reports for management and clients
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and company policies
• Identify project risks, resolve issues, and implement mitigation strategies
• Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation

Position Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of project management experience in civil construction
• Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and cost control
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, or similar)
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to travel to job sites as needed
• Preferred experience managing site development, utilities, earthwork, or roadway construction projects
• Preferred familiarity with local and state construction regulations
