Job summary

N-iX in Boston seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead multiple engineering teams on enterprise-scale software initiatives. You will manage end-to-end delivery, people, and client relationships, ensuring on-time, on-scope outcomes while fostering team growth and quality.

You will report to Delivery Manager and drive Agile practices, risk mitigation, and measurable performance improvements across projects with international clients; occasional travel to Poland may be required.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of IT project or delivery management experience.
• 3+ years of leading multiple software teams concurrently.
• Proven track record delivering complex enterprise software.
• Strong people management including 10+ direct reports.
• Excellent stakeholder communication across levels.
• Deep knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with risk, scope, dependency, and capacity planning.
• Proficiency with Jira/Confluence or similar tools.

N-iX is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our delivery organization and lead multiple engineering teams working with a large international enterprise client. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end delivery execution, people management, and stakeholder engagement across several concurrent projects. You will serve as a trusted partner for both client and internal stakeholders while ensuring teams deliver high-quality results aligned with business objectives.

This position is ideal for a hands-on delivery leader who has successfully managed complex software development initiatives, led high-performing teams, and navigated challenging stakeholder environments.

The role includes occasional business trips to Poland.

About the Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will oversee multiple cross-functional engineering teams, ensuring effective planning, execution, and continuous improvement of delivery processes. You will work closely with client representatives, engineering leaders, and internal management to drive successful project outcomes while fostering team growth and engagement.

You will report directly to the Delivery Manager.

Responsibilities

Delivery Management

• Manage 3-5 Agile teams simultaneously, each with its own roadmap, scope, priorities, and client stakeholders.
• Own end-to-end project delivery, ensuring commitments are met on time and within scope.
• Coordinate release planning, resource allocation, dependencies, and capacity across multiple teams.
• Identify, manage, and mitigate delivery risks, blockers, and cross-team conflicts.
• Facilitate and continuously improve Agile processes, adapting Scrum or Kanban practices to team needs.
• Monitor delivery and engineering metrics, transforming insights into actionable improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present monthly delivery reviews and status reports for clients and internal leadership.
• Drive transparency, predictability, and operational excellence across all projects.

People Management

• Lead and mentor team members through regular 1:1 meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing coaching.
• Create development plans and support career growth for team members.
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performance team culture.
• Address performance issues, conflicts, and signs of burnout proactively.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.
• Support retention initiatives, succession planning, and employee engagement.

Stakeholder Management

• Build trusted relationships with client product owners, business stakeholders, technical leaders, and internal management.
• Manage stakeholder expectations regarding scope, priorities, timelines, and delivery commitments.
• Communicate project status, risks, and challenges clearly and proactively.
• Facilitate alignment between client needs, business goals, and engineering priorities.
• Escalate issues appropriately and drive resolution through effective collaboration and decision-making.
• Present recommendations and delivery insights to senior stakeholders.

Requirements

Must Have

• 6+ years of experience in IT Project Management or Delivery Management.
• 3+ years of experience managing multiple software development teams concurrently.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software projects in enterprise environments.
• Strong people management experience, including direct line management of 10+ professionals.
• Experience conducting performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and managing difficult conversations.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across various organizational levels.
• Deep practical knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Hands-on experience with risk management, scope management, dependency management, and capacity planning.
• Strong analytical skills with experience tracking and interpreting delivery metrics.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, or similar project management tools.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English level, both written and spoken.

Nice to Have

• Spanish language proficiency.
• Experience introducing AI-powered tools, automation, or AI-driven practices within engineering organizations.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PSM, SAFe, or equivalent.
• Experience working with distributed or globally distributed teams.
