Job summary

Opus Technologies is seeking a hands-on Senior Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multi-stream programs in the cards and payments space. You will own planning, governance, execution, and release, while staying close to work, teams, and clients.

You will operate at the intersection of client stakeholders and offshore delivery teams, ensuring engineering rigor, payments domain depth, and AI-enabled SDLC practices converge to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Approximately 15 years of IT experience with 8+ years in PM roles.
• Extensive payments domain experience in US banks, processors, or fintechs.
• Experience coordinating offshore and onshore delivery teams and AI-enabled SDLC practices.

Job description

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Project Manager with deep roots in the cards and payments industry to lead delivery of complex, multi-stream programs for our clients. Candidate will own end-to-end delivery, from planning and governance through execution and release, while remaining close to the work, the teams and the client.

Role demands to be at the intersection of client stakeholders and offshore delivery teams, ensuring that engineering rigor, payments domain depth and modern AI-augmented ways of working come together to deliver predictable, high-quality outcomes.

Required Qualification:

• ~15 years of overall IT experience, with 8+ years in project or program management roles of increasing responsibility.
• Significant experience in the payment’s domain, gained at one or more of the following types of organizations in the US:
• Banks and card issuers
• Payment processors, acquirers or payment technology companies
• Fintech’s
• Proven track record of delivering large, complex, multi-vendor payments or financial services programs.
• Prior experience working with offshore IT services or software servicing firms, with a clear understanding of the onshore–offshore delivery model.
• Demonstrated, hands-on exposure to AI adoption within the SDLC, with concrete examples of impact.

Skills

• Strong command of Agile (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), traditional and hybrid delivery frameworks.
• Strong working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, Power BI or similar.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a polished executive presence.
• Outstanding presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity for senior audiences.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Analytical mindset, with ownership, accountability and a bias for action.
