Job summary

Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking a seasoned project operations professional to oversee ongoing projects and act as a liaison between project management, planning, and line management.

You will review budgets, manage schedules, and prepare status reports while addressing issues to meet productivity and quality goals. Does not require a U.S. Navy security clearance to start, but related experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience.
• Master’s Degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience.
• One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

Bachelor's Degree

Master’s Degree

NNS Apprentice School graduate

Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate

Associate's Degree or other 2-year program with experience

Military Paygrade E-5 or above

High School/GED + 4 years manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades etc.

High School/GED + 8 years manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades etc.
